MC SOUNDTRACKS
Since 1999, the MC Theater clique has produced soundtracks for their plays. These projects – often spearheaded by LFMC’s Brian – resulted in special collaborations with amazing artists, many of which have now made a name for themselves in the (Dutch) music scene. Storytellers such as Joya Mooi, Senna, Flinke Namen, Zwart Licht, Hef, Kohfie Konnect etc. It’s a long, long list. In the picture (by Daniel J. Ashes) a number of these artists, but by no means all of the artists that contributed.
The physical CDs and 12 inches were released in very limited editions, but the music has lived forth for years. Take for example the track ‘Bumaye’ by The Flexican ft. Typhoon. The song was made for MC’s KINGS soundtrack back in 2005. Soon the song will be re-released by Major Lazer ft. Busy Signal, The Flexican and FS Green.
